Meet the Owner

Let me introduce myself to you. I’m Tim Porche — the president of Timothy Porche Homes. I’ve been married to Dawne for 39 years, and together we have two beautiful children.

Our daughter, Ashley, is a graduate of Georgia Southern with a degree in Business Administration. She is married to Charles, who has associate degrees in Computer Networking and Aviation Maintenance from Rasmussen Business College and Wichita State University Tech, respectively. Our son, Timothy II, graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Building Construction, and his wife, Laura, has her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Georgia Southern and an MBA from Brenau University. Tim and Laura are the proud parents of our grandson, Timothy III, aka Tripp.

Our family has always been a major contributor to the success of Timothy Porche Homes, and we hope that Tripp will one day carry on the family legacy.

As for me, I’ve been designing and building custom homes for great friends and clients for more than 40 years. I started my career in my hometown of Houma, Louisiana in 1980 — yes, both my wife and I are true Cajuns!

After a very successful career in Louisiana, I decided to move my family to the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, in 1987. Since then, I have enjoyed building many high-end, custom homes in some of the most prestigious communities in Georgia, including Hadsfield in Roswell; Parson’s Run and St. Ives Country Club in John’s Creek; and St. Marlo Country Club in Duluth — just to name a few.

It was Timothy Porche Homes’ honor to be chosen as one of only 13 builders in the Builder’s Guild for two of the most prestigious and sought-after gated communities in Georgia — Sugarloaf Country Club in Duluth and The River Club in Suwanee.

In 2005, Dawne and I purchased property in Alexander City, Alabama, and it is here that we built our dream home, Boulder Creek Plantation. For the past 16 years, we have enjoyed being a part of the Lake Martin community and we’re looking for many more years to come!
